Who We Are

In the 1970s, a group of forward-thinking Republicans led by Tom Thornbrugh came together to form the "Tulsa County Republican Men's Club." For almost 40 years, the club met monthly to organize, motivate, and lead fellow Republicans to change the direction of local, state, and national government....one voter at a time. Through Thornbrugh's leadership, the club made inroads into an Oklahoma political climate that Democrats dominated. It was through this organization's leadership and by others like it that Tulsa County became the Republican stronghold that it is.

In 2008, the Tulsa County Republican Men's Club expanded its name slightly by simplifying it to the "Tulsa Republican Club". The shortened name was devised to expand its membership by including leading female Republicans as well as its base in the downtown Tulsa business community.

Today, the Tulsa Republican Club is deeply focused on our mission to fight for conservative values and policies, educate fellow Republicans, and the next generation of Republican leaders.
